El Chalan

In a few days, I will be starting my second Chalan. I believe this Chalan to be important, magical and a transportation that takes you back and forth to the present and the past and to Mexico and the United States. The first time I went to do research a man there told me to photograph the Chalan when it came back from Mexico. He said it was the moment when the Chalan looked the most beautiful. It is about expecting and it is about the slow smooth movement it makes when it crosses the water. It is about wanting someone to come and take you back to the place where you left a part of yourself.
